Improved Durability and Life-Span For Polystyrene Boxes

It is ubiquitous for polystyrene to be used as a packaging material. In automotive manufacturing plants, expensive parts are transported between production lines in polystyrene boxes. Polystyrene is cheap and easy to shape for a fitted finish; however, polystyrene is prone to one major drawback… deterioration! Light impact causes polystyrene to break and crumble. Within a production plant, polystyrene boxes are frequently replaced. The high rate of new boxes is costly and causes a large amount of waste product that would have to go to landfill. An automotive production plant in Mexico was looking for a solution to increase the longevity and durability of the boxes. LINE-X provided their hybrid-polyurea (XS-100) as a durable, impact-resistant coating to increase the lifespan of the boxes and significantly reduce

Improved Camper Durability for Off-road Campers!

Drop Campers have recently partnered with LINE-X (Spain) to provide a premium range of off-road campers.  In 2017, Drop Campers was founded by two brothers, Mario and Albert Fernández. The brother’s passion for outdoor adventure, motor vehicles and a trip through the USA gave Mario and Albert the inspiration to start building mini caravans in their home city, Barcelona.  During their USA travels, they had seen the popular demand for ‘teardrop campers’. Teardrop campers are small caravans, cleverly designed to hold your camping essentials whilst providing sleeping quarters. This allows teardrop campers to be small, light, functional, comfortable, all-terrain, and self-sufficient.  Teardrop and mini-campers are a growing trend with off-road and overland enthusiasts and Drop Campers have also seen the demand from this segment.  As

🌎 Earth Day Announcement: Vietnamese Fishing Farms to Eliminate 3 Million Cubic Meters of Styrofoam Pollution Using LINE X Protective Coatings

In celebration of Earth Day 2021, LINE-X, a U.S.-based leading manufacturer of high-performance protective coatings for truck bedliners, automotive and industrial uses, and its LINE-X Coating Developer in Vietnam, announced that they are working with Quang Ning Province in Vietnam to substantially reduce waste (by removing 3 million cubic meters of Styrofoam pollution in the next 10-20 years) in its Ha Long Bay region by applying coatings on the surface of foam floats used by local aquatic fish farmers. LINE-X is also contributing a sizeable amount of its coatings at no cost to the Quảng Ninh Province to further support the effort. In 2015, Jenna Jambeck, an environmental engineer at the University of Georgia, analyzed plastic waste levels in the world’s oceans. According to her

Gas Pipe Bellows: Increasing The Lifespan With LINE-X Polyurea

When it comes to the transfer of sulfur dioxide (SO2) gases to an acid plant, you need to ensure you have the best solution for protecting the pipeline. Industrial bellows are installed in pipes to prevent damage caused by thermal growth vibrations and pressure thrust. However, these bellows can be exposed to abrasives and liquids- risking corrosion that can lead to a burst pipeline and gas leak. Corrosion of the bellow can happen for numerous reasons: pitting corrosion, galvanic corrosion and crevice corrosion to just name a few. Whatever the cause of the corrosion, a solution is needed to prevent a burst pipeline and gas leakage. LINE-X XS-350 Pure Polyurea Increases The Lifespan of The Gas Pipe Bellows. How To Protect Steel Pallets From Battery Acid

Industrial-grade batteries are stored and transported on specialized steel pallets. Steel offers more durability and strength than typical wood or plastic pallets. As a material, steel is better suited to store flammable liquids – it won’t melt or burn in the case of a fire – and boasts a high load rating. However, if a battery becomes damaged during transport, it could potentially leak battery acid. Battery acid contains sulfuric acid, which is highly corrosive and causes significant damage to the steel pallet. Battery acid leakage is a common issue within the mining sector. In Rustenburg, South Africa, the mining industry required a solution to prevent the steel pallets from corrosive damage caused by battery acid. The Solution to protect the steel from battery acid

How To Utilise Corrosion Control In The Mining Industry

When it comes to controlling corrosion and abrasion damage on mining equipment, exposure to extreme environments, weather and dangerous terrain are all challenges that heavy machinery must overcome whilst working in large scale mining and excavation sites. Earthmovers like bulldozers, dump trucks, motor graders, excavators, and others are the workhorses of the mining industry. They dig, push, transport, and clear waste material or the mineral of interest from the site. When these machines go down, work grinds to a halt. Due to the nature of mining itself, constant exposure to weather for long periods, heavy machines need regular ongoing maintenance. Fuel and hydraulic tanks are particularly vulnerable to deterioration. Because fuel tanks sit between the front and rear wheels, they catch rocks and impact damage

POLYUREA UNDERLAYMENT by LINEX

Concrete Waterproof Polyurea Underlayment Process

In the world of construction, waterproofing can be one of the most critical aspects of a construction job. Waterproofing is especially important when laying commercial-grade tiling for pedestrian walkways or driveways for vehicles. A flooring underlayment serves as a barrier between a concrete foundation and a tile application placed on top. If water penetrates the surface and reaches the concrete substrate underneath, it can cause significant damage resulting in expensive and time-consuming repairs. Since moisture is the biggest issue when laying a high traffic tile floor, an equally durable underlayment is required. In Mexico, several major infrastructure projects needed a commercial-grade, watertight, and cost-effective underlayment solution. A polyurea underlayment is one of the most reliable options available.  LINE-X Polyurea Underlayment LINE-X Polyurea Underlayment LINE-X Polyurea
