7 Food Recycling Containers Lined by PAXCON Turkey

The Master Distributors of PAXCON Turkey have recently completed lining the internal of seven food recycling containers with XS-350, a pure-polyurea coating by PAXCON.  These recycling containers are used to turn waste food into fertilizer. PAXCON XS-350 provides a seamless watertight seal, allowing the coated area to be thoroughly washed down without the risk of the liquid causing the metal substrate to corrode.  Click images to enlarge

Amazing Game Of Thrones, Throne | Hard Coating by PAXCON

PAXCON coatings are commonly used for hard-coating eps structures, especially within the film and theme park industry. EPS sculptures can be made into amazing lifesize structures, models and art. Due to the creativity of the sculptors who use PAXCON services, we are always being amazed by the projects that we are sent! A lot of the PAXCON network are Game of Thrones fans, so when this project came through from our Spanish master distributor, PAXCON HISPANIA, our jaws dropped and we just had to share it. This particular project was a private commission by a Commercial Manager of a large automotive dealership in Barcelona for his daughter, a mega-fan of the Game of Thrones. The throne was created from EPS and hard-coated with PAXCON XS-100,

Gas Pipe Bellows: Increasing The Lifespan With PAXCON Polyurea

When it comes to the transfer of sulfur dioxide (SO2) gases to an acid plant, you need to ensure you have the best solution for protecting the pipeline. Industrial bellows are installed in pipes to prevent damage caused by thermal growth vibrations and pressure thrust. However, these bellows can be exposed to abrasives and liquids- risking corrosion that can lead to a burst pipeline and gas leak. Corrosion of the bellow can happen for numerous reasons: pitting corrosion, galvanic corrosion and crevice corrosion to just name a few. Whatever the cause of the corrosion, a solution is needed to prevent a burst pipeline and gas leakage. PAXCON XS-350 Pure Polyurea Increases The Lifespan of The Gas Pipe Bellows. “The End” Ice-Cream Sculpture – Hard-coating by PAXCON

The latest commissioned art piece to sit upon the Fourth Plinth of Trafalgar Square is a 9.4 meter (30.8 feet) sculpture of an Ice Cream, featuring a working drone providing a live stream and a larger than life fly. The sculpture, called “The End,” was created by British artist Heather Phillipson. “The End,” is the 13th commissioned artwork to sit upon the Fourth Plinth. According to a statement by the Mayor of London, The large ice-cream sculpture will stay located on the Fourth Plinth until Spring 2022. SO WHY ARE WE SHARING THIS NEWS? PAXCON was utilised as a hard-coat for this particular sculpture. PAXCON has been used as a hard-coating within the film, theatre and theme park industries for many years. The PAXCON spray

How To Protect Steel Pallets From Battery Acid

Industrial-grade batteries are stored and transported on specialized steel pallets. Steel offers more durability and strength than typical wood or plastic pallets. As a material, steel is better suited to store flammable liquids – it won’t melt or burn in the case of a fire – and boasts a high load rating. However, if a battery becomes damaged during transport, it could potentially leak battery acid. Battery acid contains sulfuric acid, which is highly corrosive and causes significant damage to the steel pallet. Battery acid leakage is a common issue within the mining sector. In Rustenburg, South Africa, the mining industry required a solution to prevent the steel pallets from corrosive damage caused by battery acid. The Solution to protect the steel from battery acid

How To Utilise Corrosion Control In The Mining Industry

When it comes to controlling corrosion and abrasion damage on mining equipment, exposure to extreme environments, weather and dangerous terrain are all challenges that heavy machinery must overcome whilst working in large scale mining and excavation sites. Earthmovers like bulldozers, dump trucks, motor graders, excavators, and others are the workhorses of the mining industry. They dig, push, transport, and clear waste material or the mineral of interest from the site. When these machines go down, work grinds to a halt. Due to the nature of mining itself, constant exposure to weather for long periods, heavy machines need regular ongoing maintenance. Fuel and hydraulic tanks are particularly vulnerable to deterioration. Because fuel tanks sit between the front and rear wheels, they catch rocks and impact damage

POLYUREA UNDERLAYMENT by LINEX

Concrete Waterproof Polyurea Underlayment Process

In the world of construction, waterproofing can be one of the most critical aspects of a construction job. Waterproofing is especially important when laying commercial-grade tiling for pedestrian walkways or driveways for vehicles. A flooring underlayment serves as a barrier between a concrete foundation and a tile application placed on top. If water penetrates the surface and reaches the concrete substrate underneath, it can cause significant damage resulting in expensive and time-consuming repairs. Since moisture is the biggest issue when laying a high traffic tile floor, an equally durable underlayment is required. In Mexico, several major infrastructure projects needed a commercial-grade, watertight, and cost-effective underlayment solution. A polyurea underlayment is one of the most reliable options available.  PAXCON Polyurea Underlayment PAXCON Polyurea Underlayment PAXCON Polyurea

Corrosion Resistant Coatings For Smart Parking Meters

Corrosion resistant coatings, by PAXCON, are being utilised in Italy for smart parking meters. Smart parking machines are becoming the standard in large and medium-sized cities. It’s an economical choice as one meter can be used for multiple spaces and smart machines can accept payment by credit/debit card, cash, coins, app or tokens. In many cases, smart parking machines are positioned outside or under an awning for protection from weather elements. However, even protection under an awning is not enough to completely prevent corrosion. Parking machines, and the complex technology inside them, are exposed to extreme temperatures, rain, snow, dust, sea air, fine particulates, debris as well as human and animal interaction that can cause abrasion or deterioration. A city council in Italy sought a

Dairy Facility Production

Dairy Facility Production

Corrosion is a plague to modern manufacturing; it can strike any industry in any part of the world – even a traditional cheese shop in Cyprus. The walls of this cheese production facility were constructed from steel sandwich panels. Every day, these panels are exposed to salty steam and liquid spills. Most cheese production uses acid and salt at specific stages to make cheese. After so many batches, the steel panels would begin to corrode. The panels often sustained further damage by the collision with and impact damage caused by stainless steel trolleys used to harvest the cheese or progress to the next stage in the process. The manufacturer had two options: replace the panels with new ones and face the same issues in the
